Normal Tanks is a top down shoot 'em up which sees you take control of a tank, and face a multitude of enemy heavy artillery.
This Normal Tanks demo features four levels, and three difficulty settings which make completing it quite a challenge. Your tank is moved using the keyboard, while the mouse takes aiming and firing responsibilities. The controls work well, and the game is really easy to pick up.
Graphically, Normal Tanks is bold and attractive, with some nice power-up animations and explosions. Enemy fire is also very visible, meaning it doesn't feel unfair when you get hit. The sound effects are pretty good - and if you don't like the music, it can be turned down or off!
Normal Tanks features a variety of enemies, each requiring a different tactic to destroy, and you can switch between a heavy cannon, and a faster but weaker turret gun. There are end of level bosses, which are no walk over, and you'll need a reasonable amount of determination and patience to progress.
Normal Tanks is and independently developed game, and while its gameplay is certainly not revolutionary, it is very well done, and will please shoot 'em up fans.
